Pro Ring

Reviews

Hi! I just wanted to say that I bought an orange Aerobie Pro in December 2003 when I was in Sydney. I was backpacking in Australia and in Thailand at the beaches as well as trekking in the jungle up north. The Aerobie was hanging outside on my backpack throughout my trip which lasted for 3 months.

While back in Sweden my friends were amazed by it, how well it flew. Used it every year during summertime with friends and family. After a couple of years it got stored in one of the moving cartons for a very long time. It was never an option to get rid of it, even when cleaning out various cartons 🙂 As I grew older (now 33 and with kids) I found it in a stored box from my early days. Took it out and it still works like a charm 🙂

The orange rubber material has dried out and gotten lots of cracks and starting to fall apart from the darker ring in the middle. The reason I never got rid of it was since it is a great product! And also I feared that I wouldn't be able to buy it again.

I told my wife yesterday that I'm going to Google and see if I can order it from your website or other site and get it shipped internationally home. But to my surprise I noticed that there are stores in Sweden who have your products! I'm happy for that and I'm off to buy a new one tomorrow! 🙂

Just wanted to share my Aerobie story with you guys and what a fantastic product you have!!

Dejan Levrin from Oxie, Sweden

What a flying machine! We had people absolutely gape-jawed the first time we had it in the park.

Lonnie Brown, The Ledger, Lakeland, FL, USA

It's the single most stunning thing I have ever thrown. Congrats on a magnificent design.

Jim Banbury, The Charlotte News

Holy Frisbee: The Aerobie's the Thing to Fling. ... Hurled like Frisbee discs, Aerobies fly straighter and much farther: the most inept beach bum should be able to throw one 25 yards (23 meters).

Newsweek

...makes the Frisbee look like an inebriate dinner plate.

The Financial Times, London

Any person can throw an Aerobie farther than anything they've ever thrown in their life. It's exhilarating to throw yet very stable and easy to control. It's definitely the most aerodynamic throwing object ever invented.

Tom McRann, Stanford University Department of Athletics

Nothing flies as far, as fast and as fancily as the Aerobie. It has the speed and distance of the Skyro, the stability of the best Frisbees, and a beauty all its own. It's the logical evolution of the flying disc.

Dr. Stancil Johnson, M.D., Author of Frisbee - A Practitioner's Manual and Definitive Treatise

The Aerobie is to the Frisbee, as the Lear Jet is to the Piper Cub.

Robert T. Jones, Sc.D, NASA Research Aerodynamicist (Inventor of the swept wing)

Anyone can throw the Aerobie incredibly far with amazing accuracy. It is an absolute joy to throw and catch.

Scott Zimmerman, 7 time world Frisbee champion

I have been a huge fan of your astonishing flying rings since you invented them. Those rings -- which we Sharpied with names of famous mathematicians and physicists such as Archimedes, Newton and Pascal, provided us numerous thrilling sessions of pure joy. Our pursuit was the lengthy completed pass. From flat fields to elevated meadows to cliffs and vast beaches and finally to huge parking lots, we regularly marveled at the sheer unlikeliness of peering past 150 paces to see the other triumphantly raise his arms in celebration of a speared Pythagoras. The sport of accurate and super long throws combined with the tracking and running and catching your rings is truly exhilarating.

Jim Herrick, SDSU Alumni Association and member of the USA Ultimate Hall of Fame

Just wanted you to know about my beloved, beloved Aerobie which today gave up the ghost after 13 years of loyal service, awesome fun and travelling all around the world with me!

Amanda Salt, Nelson, New Zealand

I just wanted to say thank you for a great product. We use it in a different manner than most. It is our dog's fetch toy. He absolutely loves it. We can throw it in the air for catch or on the ground for chasing.

Steve Benzing - Architect, Saratoga, CA, USA

I'm very glad to have the Aerobie Pro ring, it's our new outdoor sports device and healthy for almost every muscle. Because it is lightweight, I always carry it in my backpack, looking for a chance to play with it!

Ayhan Izmirli, Istanbul, Turkey

I have purchased at least 2 dozen Aerobies over the last 15+ years (I'm 48) and the Aerobie Pro is (OK, I'll be reasonable) ONE of the best inventions of my life. The amount of pleasure that can be had for roughly $10 a disc is without equal. The only challenge is finding someone to play with me (I'm always game) and not letting him throw it into a tree or the lake. I recently endured 50 degree Minneapolis lake water to recover 2 of MY (new!) rings thrown into the local lake by my 'friend'. Thanks, thanks for a great invention.

John N., Hopkins, MN, USA

Hi, my name is Charles and I thought that I would tell you guys how much I have enjoyed my Aerobie. I purchased it when I was 11 and I'm now 27. I've flown it everywhere; I even took it to Denver with me so I could throw it from the mountains (hard to find afterward). Now I have kids that love to play with it too!

Charles Devault, Dayton, OH, USA

After another rousing game of catch with her family played into the evening with a Pro ring: "Let me thank you personally for bringing the family together in this electronic overloaded hectic scheduled world."

Cheryl Painter, Burlington, NJ, USA

It's well built, it's been 'whizzed' into two brick walls, been with an anxious 'Fido', and crossed the occupied path of some autos; but not a scratch.

Steven J. Koponen, John Glenn High School, MI, USA

The Aerobie makes the Frisbee look like something from the Flintstones.

Gregg Maloney, Harrisburg, PA, USA

I have taken my Aerobies to school and showed my friends them and now it is like habit every day after we finish our lunch we go out onto the football field and play AeroGoal and AeroSpeed.

Richard Woods, Austin, TX, USA

We just got our Aerobie...a must have item for a family with 4 sons.

Mike Whittemore, Kansas City, MO, USA

Friends and neighbors who could not throw a conventional disc tried the Aerobie and it really flew for them. That is when my problem began, almost everyone who tried the Aerobie, wanted one for themselves.

William J. Greene, Puerto Rico

I have recently purchased an Aerobie. I think that it is the greatest thing made. When Leonardo da Vinci first drew up plans for a flying machine, he was really thinking of the Aerobie!

Tina Perkins, Fort Myers, FL, USA

Adios Frisbee, Aerobie's going to put you out to pasture.

Anthony H. Ingersoll, Pullman, WA, USA

Yesterday I threw my new Aerobie into the ocean. The amazing thing was that I was the length of two and one half football fields away from the ocean, and I merely flung the thing...I wasn't trying for any world records. About twenty people went rushing off to buy Aerobies after watching us play.

Shepard Stern, Marina Del Rey, CA, USA

When a Frisbee dreams, it dreams it's an Aerobie.

Peter Weyhrauch, MIT

We have used the product extensively and feel it has the ultimate potential to solve all the world's problems. It is an earth-shattering invention.

Tony Pollacia & Mark Labodzinsky, College Station, TX, USA

It's unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it before. It goes, and goes, and goes. It's the only thing I've ever played with that a football stadium was too small to contain.

Mike Banks, quoted in The Charlotte News

I have had very many great workouts and awesome Olympic quality throws and catches this summer and carry one with me wherever I go. I love the outdoor fun and I think it is a perfect workout for young adults.

Tyler J. Smith, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

I have had more fun with the Aerobie Pro flying ring than with any other toy in my life.

“My son and I just returned from a trip of a lifetime … an African trek to the highest point on the continent (Mt. Kilimanjaro) and the animal parks including the Serengeti. Throughout our journey, we took our lightweight Aerobie Pro ring for fun and to make friends. It was wildly successful at both. On July 2nd, we climbed in the darkness to 19,340 ft (5894 meters) above sea level to reach the summit glaciers of Kilimanjaro. At dawn, we stood on one of the ‘Seven Summits’ and threw the Aerobie in the thin air to celebrate. As far as I can tell on the Internet, there are no reported Aerobie games at higher elevations. Even if this isn’t the highest Aerobie game in history, it gave us smiles all around and even on the trip up helped us to make friends on the mountain with other climbers, guides, and local porters. What great memories! Thanks for your unique ‘international diplomacy’ tool.”

Sprint Ring

Reviews

The Aerobie Sprint ring is perfect for easy throws and more enclosed spaces.

Steve Sashen, New York City, NY, USA

I've never seen anything as graceful in flight as an Aerobie Sprint ring.

Craig Benedict, Petersboro, NY, USA

I wanted to let you know that I was recently walking my dog in a park and he found one of your rings. I am in my late 40s and have never been able to “throw” a Frisbee type disc in my life. I tried to throw this found one and to my amazement not only was I able to throw it but it reached the destination that I was hoping for. I enjoyed a game of catch with my family last night and we were all able to throw it like a pro.

“When my fiancée and I were deciding on wedding favours I wanted to give all the guests a practical memento of the day. As a passionate Aerobie flyer/flinger/thrower/player I suggested Aerobies printed with our names and the date to commemorate the happy day. All place settings were marked with a commemorative Sprint ring which were extremely popular with all the guests. Uncle Colin can be seen juggling with 3 rings in the lower left corner and later in the evening improvised games of hoopla developed using all manner of objects the 10″ (25 cm) ring fits over: bottles, chair legs, arms & heads to name a few. Superdisc

Reviews

On a Frisbee, the vertical lever arm created between the low-slung natural grasping point for the fingers and the disk's center of gravity causes wobble. The Superdisc, by contrast, has a rim extending both above and below the central plate. The rim is made out of a soft rubber, which makes the toy particularly easy to throw and catch.

We enjoy the accuracy of the Aerobie 10" Superdisc.

Central Coast Family Magazine

I love the Superdisc's great grip and amazing accuracy. It sets a new standard for flying disc performance.

Jim Herrick, former World Masters Flying Disc Champion, U.S. Open Flying Disc Champion and

Last winter, a friend and I snowshoed into a great lake here and had a phenomenal game of snowshoe Aerobie. Our dogs ran laps between us awaiting every drop of our Aerobie Superdisc (of which there were many). One of my favorite days in life, really. Thank you.

Wendel Wirth, Ketchum, ID, USA

I just wanted to tell you how I and my bulldog love your products. I am very surprised at how durable your Superdisc is, especially in the jaws of an English Bulldog. They are truly the best discs, believe me I've tried 'em all. I even bought a Kevlar dog disc, advertised as bullet-proof and indestructible - it lasted 20 minutes. Keep making the great products and I'll keep buying them.

Aaron Fisher (and Diesel, aka "Jaws"), Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

I just want to say how wonderful the Superdisc is for children to use. I teach 6th grade in Abington, Pennsylvania and coach an after school Ultimate Frisbee club for 5th and 6th graders. Traditional 175 gram discs are too heavy and dangerous for my kids to use as are most other hard plastic discs available. A student gave me a Superdisc as a gift last year and we found it to be ideal. It is now the only disc we use. Thank you for your continuous innovation.

Superdisc Ultra

Reviews

Ever try to teach someone to throw a Frisbee? It's one of those skills that people just have to figure out for themselves. This 12-inch disc stays remarkably stable in flight, and even novices can throw it a fair distance with some accuracy. Wind up and throw it hard and flat, and it will go 50 yards or more.

Tom Szaroleta, the Florida Times-Union

You’ll find the Superdisc Ultra to be the most stable and accurate flying disc on the market and I love the soft edge. It’s great for players of all skill levels.

Scott Zimmerman, 8 times Overall World and U.S. Frisbee Champion

Living on the Welsh south coast we have an abundance of beaches, however there are strong accompanying winds. After several years of miserable Frisbee experience I came across your Superdisc Ultra. Five years and thousands of throws later the disc remains in perfect condition. I've used it in winds beyond 30 mph and with the most incompetent friends with unwavering success. Well done and thank you!

Aerobie Football

Reviews

The soft spiraling Aerobie Football is easy fun for all ages.

Central Coast Family Magazine

The perfect football for Dolphins fans: one with fins.

The Miami Herald

So aerodynamically stable that even a toddler can throw deep. The Aerobie football has curved fins that act like propellers to rev up its spin. The fins also boost lift by keeping the ball nose-up.

Popular Mechanics

If you can't throw a perfect spiral with this thing, give up. It's made of foam, sort of like a Nerf football but a little denser, and has angled fins on the back that cause it to spiral perfectly every time.

Tom Szaroleta, The Florida Times-Union

Having trouble achieving that perfect spiral as you toss the old pigskin? Worry no more.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

A number of toy makers are giving the athletically-impaired a chance to throw things a long distance. Palo Alto's Aerobie, Inc. has followed up the Aerobie with the Aerobie Football, a soft, neon ball with fins and finger grooves that's guaranteed to float through the air, spinning in perfect spirals at over 1,000 rpm.

Kenneth Howe, San Jose Mercury News

When playtime comes, try this scientifically engineered football from the creator of the Aerobie flying rings. The Aerobie Football is so aerodynamically sound that even children can throw long bombs.

WIRED Magazine

Sort of a Nerf ball with funky aerodynamic winglets that enable the most inept of weekend QBs to toss a beautiful 50-yarder.

Delta Sky Magazine

When practice fails (or practicing fails to interest you), there's the Aerobie football from Aerobie, Inc. The curved, aerodynamic fins and contoured grip pockets are guaranteed to propel the ball from your fingertips in a perfect spiral.

Men's Fitness

I love that it’s a foam football so less injuries will occur during a game and I love that you can make a spiral with every throw. Not only does it appear you know what you’re doing with such a beautiful pass, but it’s much easier to catch as well. Our family enjoyed playing with the football and definitely intend to play with it more on our days off together. I definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys having some fun outdoors!

Epic Driver Golf Disc

Reviews

Recently I bought your Epic disc golf driver, and am pleased to say, that I am impressed that such a disc has been made which contains the design to fly as far as it has. After my first throw my jaw literally dropped. After hearing about a new disc your company has created, I decided to go check it out and purchased your Arrow putt and approach disc from my local Scheels Sports store. Thankfully, this disc has not disappointed. Literally with the Epic and the Arrow, I have changed my main company to Aerobie. ...Personally, I recommend your discs to everyone I meet, especially those who comment on their strange designs. They really take it to heart when I pound out a drive far past any others and then show a sign of frustration that it should have gone further.

Nicholas Curran, Neenah, WI, USA

I am a disc golfer from Joelton TN. I have been studying and practicing with your Aerobie Epics, and I have pretty much mastered the overhand tomahawk style. I can consistently throw on point up to 650 ft, sometimes more. I have learned to be very accurate and just placed in 8th place in the TN state championship in Morristown TN where I used your Epic for most shots. People were amazed by the accurate shots and distances I was getting from the disc. People were talking about how they have never seen anything like that before and were full of amazement.

Justin McCain, Joelton, TN, USA

The Epic is the best disc designed thus far for the disc golf enthusiast. It provides the user with maximum performance for many different types of throws. My personal favorite use for this disc is a wicked 300-400 ft thumber. Just give it a toss and watch it work some magic.

Adam Lyon, Beaverton, OR, USA

Every time I throw the Epic people comment on it. I can throw 100 feet longer than any other disc with the Epic.

Kevin Morgan, Northville, MI, USA

I've been an educator for years and an 'if it's a disc and it flies, I love it' enthusiast for my whole life. I love all of the Aerobie products and value them not only for the fun you have with them, but for the learning that happens as well. For the last seven years I have been playing Disc Golf and now I have formed a high school team that competes in local tournaments and uses the Aerobie drivers and putters, because we love them so much, we consider ourselves 'Team Aerobie'!

Travis Yost, Lolo, MT, USA

Hello, I'm a newly avid disc golfer. I've been playing for just over a year now. I must say, the main reason behind my passion for the game is the Aerobie Epic. It opened up a whole new world of flight patterns that no other disc can touch. Having a 400 plus ft thumber in the bag is a game changer. As long as the air space is clear this disc will go higher, faster and farther than any other in my bag.

Daniel Rodriguez, Eugene, OR, USA

I have been playing disc golf for a little over a year and have been throwing the Aerobie Epic for the past nine months. I was recently preparing for my first tournament with my doubles partner when I finally got my first hole in one. We were approaching hole 17 and my partner saw me reaching for my Epic. My partner got excited because he had witnessed me birdie this hole several times with the Epic with a few of those nearly hitting the chains. I throw a hook thumber any chance I get on holes between 300-400 feet because the Epic is so reliable into a headwind and that day the conditions were perfect. As soon as I released the shot my partner announced, "There it is!" A second later the shot slammed into the basket for my first ace. My partner lost control and jumped and yelled like we won the Super Bowl. It was definitely a feeling I will never forget and hope to experience again soon. An Epic has been in my bag for the last year and I wouldn't set foot on a course without one. Thank you Aerobie!!!

Justin Sumpter, Topeka, KS, USA

No other disc I have ever thrown retains its speed as long as the Epic golf driver. The Epic’s superior speed definitely gives it the distance edge.

Erin Hemmings, set a World Record for longest throw

The Epic is the most versatile disc on the market today. Right out of the box, it can be used as an over-stable "flick" disc (for left-to-right shots), an over-stable backhand disc (for right-to-left shots), and is unparalleled as a distance overhand disc (3/4-arm position thumber) and an accuracy overhand disc (over-the-top arm position tomahawk). Aerobie Epics and Arrows are a MAJOR part of my game ... and without those discs I KNOW I couldn't have obtained this title.

Arrow Putter Golf Disc

Reviews

It’s the most predictable disc I’ve ever thrown. It flies perfectly straight at any speed, even into a headwind.

I am a retailer in Bakersfield, CA. I am also an avid disc golf player. I purchased one Epic and one Arrow about two weeks ago on my honeymoon. When I got home and went out my score dropped and my throws got consistent. I played again yesterday and scored under par for the first time ever using those two discs only.

Paul Welch, Bakersfield, CA, USA

I recently bought your Arrow Disc Golf Putter and its performance has been remarkable. Keep making the great products and I'll keep buying them.

Aaron Fisher, Baltimore, MD, USA

The Aerobie Arrow is the most predictable approach/putter disc I've ever thrown. I use it from the basket out to 235 feet. As a putter it has a chain-grabbing edge that helps it stay in the basket. We have high winds at California State University at Monterey Bay throughout the year. The Arrow, with its stability, helps fight these strong winds and has made my approach shots more reliable, cutting down those costly bogeys.

Merle Witvoet, Pacific Grove, CA, USA

It was love at first throw . . . I have thrown every putter out there and this one has the best feel, the smoothest release, and the straightest flight I have ever seen in a putter. I also love how it sticks when it hits the chains. (Matt Weinberg won a $2,768 ace pot using an Aerobie Arrow on 7/27/03 at the Z-Boaz course in Ft. Worth, TX)

Matt Weinberg, Ft. Worth, TX, USA

The consistency of the Arrow never fails to amaze me. Inside 150', it's my "go to" disc. Whatever you "put on it", it holds it! Flick a high "anhy" through a gap in the canopy and it'll hold it for the whole route. Need to throw a laser approach down a tree-lined tunnel, throw it flat and hard and it'll do the job. When a controlled 'running spike hyzer' is called for in a tight area, the Arrow's predictability will allow the thrower to execute with confidence - and thus obtain much better results. Due to the unconventional feel of the Arrow, some people give up on it too soon for an approach disc, a putter, or both. I immediately liked the Arrow for use in approaches but initially putted with a more conventional disc. During practice sessions, I didn't have enough putters to efficiently practice putting with, so I added some of my approach discs (the nearest thing to a putter) to my putting arsenal. Very soon afterwards I was finding a lot more Arrows stuck in the chains or in the basket than with my old putters. Success made it a pretty easy decision to switch! For short-ranged (up to 200'), controlled, right-to-left-finishing rollers...there's no better disc than a forehanded Arrow!

Karl Molitoris, Stafford Springs, CT, USA

The Dogobie is made of a strong rubber that is as tear-resistant and puppy proof as possible. Certainly more so than the lid to my water bottle, the leash, the down comforter, various socks, etc.

The Dogobie is an irresistible disk.

Dog World Magazine

The Dogobie is a terrific disc. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a dog who loves to chase and catch.

Good Dog! The consumer magazine for dog owners

The Dogobie flying disc has been redesigned with a more durable material that still retains its soft, flexible form to protect pets' gums and teeth. The disc is aerodynamically designed for excellent flying no matter the skill of the thrower.

Pet Age magazine

Aerobie's aerodynamic design makes the Dogobie flying disc easy to throw. It's durable but flexible, making it soft to catch and easy to pick up. Great for beginners all the way up to Blazing Ferrari, the high-jumping star of the famous Extreme Canines Stunt Dog Show.

AKC Family Dog magazine

Many dogs love a game of Frisbee, but plastic flyers often have hard rims which can damage teeth. This softer rubber alternative from the (mostly human) sports toy specialists is easy to throw and flexible, but durable enough to last many a game of fetch.

The Independent (UK)

Dogobie discs are easy to throw, safe for your dog to catch, and hold up longer than any other disc.

I just wanted to write and say that my dog and I LOVE the Dogobie disc. We've played with it almost every day since I bought it about 2 weeks ago. It is holding up very well, and is a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Thank you for making such an awesome product!

Our standard poodle Angus flat out loves his Dogobie. We didn't buy it: it was abandoned in the park a couple of years ago, and after leaving it on a bench where it could be retrieved for a week, we decided to put it to use. Angus insisted on bringing it home, and ever since then, it is his favourite toy. The name had worn off when we found it, but we could almost read the logo ... Thanks for making a great product that does exactly what it promises.

My dog loves the Aerobie Dogobie, your small rubbery/gel like disc. It is easy on his teeth and mouth. My dog is so happy now, and my new pup loves his Dogobie, too.

I wanted to let you know how impressed we are with the Dogobie disc. Our dog loves catching frisbees and we play almost every day. His love of catching them mid air only beats out chewing them to shreds. I've spent untold amounts on other brands only to have them destroyed, sometimes in hours. The size, weight and durability are perfect. I'm thrilled to have stumbled across your products.

A Dogobie story

Emily Stender from Oak Lawn, IL, USA sends us this story about her dog Scooter, who loves playing with the Dogobie disc:

“Our dog is a real “Frisbee” dog! He flies through the air with blurring speed, twists & flips to make the catch, and still manages to land on his feet with grace. After all that, he impressively brings the disc back to us. He barks and barks, and wags his tail waiting for the next throw. After 20 minutes of throwing, he’s wiped out and smiling from ear to ear!

Thanks to the Aerobie Dogobie discs, we were able to discover just how cool our dog, Scooter, really is. Your discs make me look good because they are easy to throw and go sailing through the air for an impressive distance. (I have never really been known for my coordination.) Our dog looks cool because he can see and easily catch the discs. They are soft and he can run with them flapping in his mouth.

But, I haven’t told you his favorite part. After a great catch, he loves to thrash and thrash the disc back and forth with great ferociousness as he finishes his ‘kill’. Then, the game of catch is back on. Another throw! Because the disc is soft, he can also mangle it and chew on it to his heart’s content. Because it is indestructible, his parents don’t have to keep replacing them. Everyone wins.

I can’t tell you how much we love these discs. There is no other product out there like them. We use them every day as this is Scooter’s main form of exercise, saving us from long walks. I am not sure if I should be thanking you for that though! 🙂

We have 9 nieces and nephews, and we are the only dog people in the family. This has presented many challenges. The kids aren’t familiar with dogs and they are afraid to play with Scooter, or even be around him. He can sense their fear, and he gets all weird around the kiddos. But, out come the discs for a show everyone can enjoy! The dog gets to run, leap, & chase with zeal and the small ones can cheer and squeal with delight from a safe distance on the back porch. 🙂 ”
